Procedure steps
1. Submit application (online/by post).
2. Confirmation of receipt (up to 1 month).
3. Equivalence assessment.
4. Check of suitability, health, language.
5. Decision within max 4 months.
6. Compensation measure if needed: for healthcare professions from third countries the Kenntnisprüfung is the rule; Anpassungslehrgang (adaptation period under supervision of a registered nurse) is an alternative.
