Procedure steps
1. Submit application.
2. Confirmation of receipt (up to 1 month).
3. Equivalence assessment — physiotherapy is not a harmonised profession under the EU Directive, so an individual assessment is always carried out (EU and third countries).
4. Check of suitability, health, language.
5. Decision within max 4 months.
6. Compensation measure if needed: for third countries the Kenntnisprüfung is the rule; Anpassungslehrgang is a common alternative.
> The outcome is authorisation to use the professional title (not Approbation — that applies only to doctors/pharmacists).

- Later (within 3 months): certificate of good conduct (from Germany and home country), medical fitness certificate (max 3 months old), language certificate
